We will be in SXM in 3 weeks, and bringing guests. Does anyone know if the Tuesday night parade, etc. is off or on? We would like to take our guests.

Also, years ago we chose Kon Tiki as our favorite beach bar at Orient Bay, when it was still a shack. But we never see it mentioned here inTalk Back, so wondered why. Any thoughts?

There was an article in today's paper that said it will not be starting tonight as was planned. They are still hopeful for a start at a later date.

Not sure why that article was not in the online DH. Sounds like the Collective' and the organization running it are having a p*ssing match. Collective' claims that they did not submit their application for funds timely and the organization says they did. The application will be formally presented to government on February 6 and if approved, would go thereafter to the Executive Council for final approval. Perhaps it will still happen.
