Hello All!
We haven't been to St. Martin in a long time. Hopefully coming with 6 people at the end of July. Have found 3 bedroom apartments on the beach at Orient. We have always stayed at Royal Palm since we had time share. We have never stayed on Orient or the French side for that matter. Not looking to spend a fortune to stay. Any suggestions for us? Have been on Airbnb and found a few that would work for us. My husband wants a TV in at least one of the bedrooms but that seems to be unavailable in all the ones we have looked at. Any suggestions appreciated. Looking under $2500 for the week.

Thanks!
Carolyn

Don't really know what you need exactly but Julie is very helpful and responsive as a host.

Also with AirBnb/VRBO it's pretty easy to plug in the parameters you need with dates and you should be able to find something suitable. The TV is the bedroom should be visible in photos online (sometimes the main TV in the living room is the only connected to cable box).

In regard to the TV, if you are planning on watching US Sports or News channels it might not be simple. On the French side some places only have Smart TVs connected to the internet where you can login to your own Netflix or Amazon accounts to watch stuff. Others will have Cable TV (Orange box) but most only have French channels, only if they have more satellite or expensive packages will you get English channels like CNN International/Sky Sports.

The internet is quite good on the French side so if you have a Firestick or similar and a working VPN you are able to stream stuff like you are at home.

Also I would get a rental that has a private or community pool since sometimes its not a good beach day.

Good luck.

We have rented both one bedrooms and three bedroom units in Orient Village through islandescapessxm.com. Magali has many places listed that would fit your needs. Some are right on the beach and others are farther up the hill. Prices will be at their low point for your stay.

erb--you are absolutely correct with regard to TV on the French side. Very few places have regular US TV.

we have stayed several times in Orient before our Dutch side stay

We thoroughly our most recent stay at Neptune which is available from Blue Ocean Villas
Sonja is excellent to work with and pricing is very reasonable
we do extensive research!!!

the condo is STOCKED with almost anything you could need including a stocked bar which we did not partake

Safe walking to village and close to beach bars

Television was all French channels and we where very surprised to not miss TV for a week
with 3 couples, I think you may find it the same unless you need to watch sports

We also have used Island Escape and found Magali's property listings to be plentiful and varied, and she was so easy and nice to work with.
