Hello all. Arriving in Jan to sxm. We have a rental already lined up. Daughter and friends arriving a few days later than us. They feel they do not need a rental vehicle, but occasionally will need a taxi. They have never been over to Orient Beach, so that is one day that they would need to hire a taxi. They are staying at Royal Palm. I have heard stories of some "taxi" services that are , should I say, not above board. Is there any way to avoid getting scammed from taxi's. They are young, but not stupid. If anyone has any recommendations of good, reliable and honest taxi companys it would be very helpful. Worth an ask. Thanks in advance.

Legit taxi's on the Dutch side say Taxi on the license plate. Ignore the signs on the roof or window. Look at the license plate.

Although I've never used the service, this company is a TTOL sponsor. IMO, it's a good idea to patronize the sponsors of this website.
