Heh: What are the options from Leverick Bay for car rentals? Looking for the mini-safari (truck for 10 passengers).

I would like to pick-up and drop-off in Leverick Bay.

thanks, rick s

Just walk to the office at the back of Leverick and they will arrange it for you. Someone will usually drop one off within the hour. Usually about $90 for the day.

I would reach out to Letica in advance and let her know you will be coming for a car. She can prearrange and speed it up a bit. Letica can be reached at +12845424014.

I had the same question. We'll be moored at Leverick or North Sound Bistro and two of us are considering Coco Maya for dinner. Better to taxi or rent? Renting would give us a little more flexibility if we want to go early and stop at Hog Heaven. But taxi might be the cheaper and easier option. Thanks for any insights.

North Sound Bistro has closed I believe.

We always rent a car (its actually cheaper than multiple taxis) but make sure you ask for automatic (smart to reserve in advance).

If your plan is to spend all day/dinner Id consider VGYH vs. Leverick. I dont like to drive back to Leverick after sunset.

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry to hear about North Sound Bistro closing.

Who do you use to reserve a car in advance?

See response above. Letica at Leverick will arrange for you; or if going to VGYH call Chudney from L&S direct at 2845406638. Feel free to let them know Keith from Chicago sent you.

The taxi guys are good at making sure you're covered and will give you their phone number for a ride back. If they are busy they'll send someone else, and also the bar tenders can call for you. You don't want to temper your enjoyment of Coco Maya or Hog Heaven worrying about driving back over the hill on those roads . If you aren't familiar with what those roads are like, you will be worried...

ps: Letica will arrange a good cab btw

Vytis, why would you ask for an automatic? Here is my brand new baby, a perfect five-speed manual.

Only because most dont drive manual anymore and the twists and turns can make that even more challenging. LOL. Its just easier for those of us who dont practice it.

Like your ride BTW.... Reminds me to ask if you have any extra limes to give away? We will be at Marina Cay/Trellis on NYE.

This year's lime crop appears to have been reduced and retarded by Ernesto. So far the limes are not ripe. I have lots of tangy arugula. Coconuts and sugar apples are coming; had bananas, but they grew legs, evidently.

We’ve used Speedys. Call and Safari truck will be waiting?
