While watching the Tortuga web cam one shot pans near the rotary and there's a sign SALT restaurant. Anyone know where it's located and has anyone eaten there?

It's in the Morgan resort. A nice setting next to the pool but I have never eaten there.

Thank you CaribLee. Speaking of Morgan Resort brought back a memory of eating at the restaurant at the old Caravansera. It was out on a point and the night were were there a wave crashed into the place, under & over the piano and some tables and we all had to leave. I wonder if this restaurant is located in the same place?

Food is just okay but service can be slow at times . Nice view and scenery though.

As CaribLee said, it's at the Morgan. Louise and David (Fabila), have eaten there. I got the impression the place was hit and miss.

I've eaten there three times; only one was ok. Setting is beautiful, though, right by the pool, and then ocean. I would go back for drinks/apps but not to eat.

Here's a link to a report where I talked about going to Salt a couple of times, along with pictures.

Thanks Jazzgal.

I must have missed this report of yours when it was posted. Photos are great. And I see Betsy is resting comfortably.

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner on different days. All three meals were just ok. Very nice outdoor ambience.

Very much down with the consensus here..we've eaten with friends who were staying there a few times, and the food and staff at Salt was "serviceable" but not level with the price or equal to the very nice ambiance. That said, the same pals rented one of the poolside cabanas for my hubby's birthday this past June and the apps we ordered, drinks and service were spot on.

We had lunch at SALT at the Morgan last year. It was a perfect day for eating on the patio by the pool, and a lovely clear view of Saba, with a cloud sitting above it. It was a little pricey, and a limited lunch menu, but we enjoyed the ambience. Food was just OK for us. A friend who was staying there had told us the dinner atmosphere was lovely and romantic, but didn't comment on the quality of the food.
