For a long-term stay in St. Maarten, we are considering a rental at Rainbow Beach Club in Cupecoy. I am interested in reviews -- pluses and minuses -- from people who have stayed at Rainbow Beach Club. Thanks.

I haven't stayed there, but know people who lived there. The location is excellent; very convenient to Jordan Village. In the past, the property had maintenance issues, although that may have been resolved.

From what I have heard, the building closer to the ocean is better run, the building near the street had more issues with water. Note that we have stayed in the building close to the street many years ago and had no problems. Not sure about the building in the middle. We did like the location.

I totally agree with Todd's assessment of the property. We've stayed there for several years(2-3 week stays in March). The location is great. Gated property,-access to several wonderful restaurants in Jordan Village- close to 3 markets- small private beach and 2 minutes to Mullet Bay Beach- 2 pools-Each building is under separate leadership. The building near the pool and the ocean have satellite TV and great wi-fi. In our opinion you can't find a better place to stay .

Agree with all of the above, have stayed there on many occasions. Preference would be Ocean front building, preferrably penthouse units with the huge rooftop deck complete with bbq and partially protected from the sun. There area several in that building. The views and sunsets are incredible. IMO the only units there suitable for a long term stay.

There are several buildings:

- Tower, overlooks a car park and was illegally built so high.

- Tennis, even worse; Condos were illegally built in that was supposed to be a car park. No view, noisy and many plumbing issues.

- South, West and Super. All are ocean front, quiet and large condos.

The current power issues are soon solved in the West building because owners have just bought 2 generators that are currently being installed.

To sum up, forget the Tower and Tennis buildings.

Monthly rent is about 2,800.-. The owner will pay the maintenance fees, but you will have to pay for electricity which can vary from USD 300 per month to 800 depending on if the owner has renewed the AC and Fridge.

Sure, maintenance issues are something of the past. Owners have paid a lot to get the place back to its initial shine.

The Association would have paid for those issues ........ No? The developer from what I've heard is not allowed into the country.

Wrong , of course he won't return because of the legal problems that he would face.

Just sent you a PM - nice long term rental down the road at Cupecoy Beach Club - not mine but a few doors down - ocean front first floor. Just saw it posted on Facebook by my property manager - if you are interested. And we have a generator. Hahahaha
