Some photos.

Cool Heure, not a place for ambiance or view, just good French Bistro food.

Rare cooked tuna steak and chicken supreme.

Burger cooked at rental from Monoprix (was frozen Australian beef, very good).

Rancho del Sol with the peacocks.

Falafel balls with tahini appetizer.

Plat du jour of pesto type lasagna bolognese (14€).

Chicken Caesar salad.

Complimentary rhum when paying, was passion fruit (every place has offered so far).

Have not yet been asked or mentioned to add a tip at any French place yet.

Thanks for the pics! Remind me again, where is Cool Heure? Do they take credit cards there?

They take CC, maybe not AMEX. On way to Happy Bay.

Everything Looks delicious.
It took me a while to figure it out Duh!

Cool Heure must be busier than it looked to me, if they take CC.
We will have to make a plan to stop. We always seem to eat at the beach, we are heading to.

The view shown is I think at Rancho del Sol. The view at Cool Huere is of the laundromat!

Beautiful pictures. I really like seeing food pictures.

Cool Heure is definitely on the list of lunch places for our next trip. Thanks for posting the menu. I’ll definitely have to brush up on my French!

I'm curious, how many of you are able to eat one of these lunches and then
go out to dinner?

I can't answer for others but we do a nice lunch out and dinner is usually salad/charcuterie stuff from the supermarket.

We will usually have EITHER a big lunch or a big dinner, and then something simple for the other meal. Years ago, we would eat two huge meals, with dessert for dinner every night. Not so much, anymore.

I’ve been to Cool Heure a number of times now based on Jazzgal’s recommendation. It’s not much to look at from the outside but it’s nice inside and I like the French vibe. A nice restroom as well. The husband and wife (chef) team get a lot of local French workers that go there for lunch. You can see their vehicles along the road outside. I’ve always enjoyed my meals there. Prices are reasonable. I usually go there for lunch and then continue on to Super U and Bacchus to grocery shop.

Many of the same reasons why we enjoy having lunch at Le Taitu.

103 days to go…

I remember the first time I used the rest room there. Based on how the rest of the restaurant looks, I was surprised at how nice it is. November soon come!
