Finally went to La Perle Bleu. Did not meet expectations. We were the only other table of 4 with a table of 8 locals getting all the attention. Our meals came an our after our appetizers and had to send my duck back. Over cooked, tough and dry. Wifes lamb shank same way. Other couple never got the side that was supposed to come with dinner. Waitress volunteered to not charge the SC and I told her I would have deducted it anyway. It's definitely a one and done for us.

Wow, doesn't sound good. Sounds like they shouldn't have taken off more than that.

They did remove my main coarse since I didn't want a replacement that could have taken another hour the way the evening went.

OK, well I'm sure you would have preferred to have the entre', prepared properly, but that was good, that they removed it.

I had to ask them to remove it. Yes would have much rather had it prepared correctly.

"Wasted meals", when you only have so many nights on island it is lousy when you waste one of those nights on mediocre or bad food. It sucks when it happens.
Read where somebody was asking where they should go on their last night on another forum. The answer for us is always that place you already know and enjoy the food and people so you are assured that final night is not a wasted meal and leave on a good note.

In that respect, Scuba is luckier than most of us, as he has a lot more time on island. I personally am very leery of trying new places because we have so few nights on island and don't want to waste one.

Gave them plenty of opportunity to correct the situation. They were too concerned with serving the table of locals than our table of 4. Shouldn't have to wait over an hour between appetizer and main course only to have it cooked incorrectly and two others at our table never getting their sides.

It appears you are a local to SXM, perhaps that is the difference.

We have enjoyed our meals and the service for a couple of years at La Perle Bleu at their old location. We have brought friends who also were very pleased. Perhaps they are still working out challenges with moving into new location and perhaps new equipment. I hope they work out any issues as we will certainly try them again on our next visit. Sorry to hear your experience wasn’t up to expectations.

I was hoping for a good experience but I see others posting on this thread didn't like theirs either. Hope you're satisfied when you go again.

Wasn't this another restaurant before "Jam"something?? We ate there. That was nice, Nice opt word. But the parking!!! If I have this right, there are offices and rentals there with close to no parking!! I looked at their menu. There were items that caught my eye. But NO ONE makes me wait an hour! I'd get up and walk out!!

Was Jamtilian which was good and another before that in the old location. Now a new location but that isn't the issue in this case. Just bad service and food.
