That is a great but late victory for Lee's. I am surprised because a Notary has huge responsibilities to make it right so the possibility of wrong doing they do so at great civil and criminal risk. But not surprised because its SXM , lots of mistakes happen at some Notarys in the proper recording of transactions that you would expect in most places.

OK, the fact that is on Facebook doesn't make it any less of a copyright infringement. Therefore that link shouldn't be posted here. The story is in the full version of the Daily Herald. Perhaps the management at the DH might put the story in the online edition but until then, it is not appropriate here.
I read the full version online and it basically says that the notary was improperly involved in the transaction whereby the long lease was granted to another company, other than Lee, in that he had a financial interest in the company that the long lease was originally granted to. Further, the story says that Lee possesses the strongest claim to acquire the property in long lease from Country SXM. Lee is optimistic that he will be issued the long lease, which would enable him to rebuild the restaurant.
I am going to close this thread. Don't get me wrong, it certainly seems like Lee was given a raw deal and I am happy that hopefully country SXM will rectify the situation. However, that does not justify copyright infringement. People seem to think that copyright does not exist and that anyone is free to copy and paste copyrighted material onto Facebook. That is incorrect.
