The day started out with off and on (mostly on) light showers to pretty heavy rain at times. It would start to clear and then cloud up and shower more. Breakfast was prepared in the unit with the exception of myself as I had some leftovers from Sat. night. We decided to head into town as some in the group had some unfinished jewelry business and other shopping to do. It rained on the way in and then cleared. Again, off and on showers and with the combination of heat and rain, the humidity was really bad. I took a short walk on the boardwalk and it was miserable.
At one point the power went off and was down for around an hour. Even though I was in a store that had a/c, you could feel the temperature and humidity increase the longer the power was out. Just one (that I could see) ship in port but there was a lot of foot traffic and vehicle traffic was much worse than last week with 5 ships in port. I gathered the troops after a few hours and headed back to the Atrium. Some had a light lunch from the provisions we had on hand. Some headed to Kim Sha beach and others around the pool.
There was some indecsion surrounding dinner due to a couple of different circumstances with timing and hoping to meet a couple of other island friends. Once we got everything squared away, we decided on The Greenhouse. I had tried to make reservations at a couple of other places. Either they had nothing available or they were not answering their phone.
I knew The Greenhouse would be crowded due to prime rib night but we were seated quickly. One in the group wanted prime rib but they only had 1 end piece left at that point. 3 of us had their French dip special (w/2 sides) while other had a chicken wrap and a form of their bang-bang shrimp. We all enjoyed our meals and had plenty of food. 18% service charge included.
Not a lot more to report from yesterday.

We had that same problem at Greenhouse.......no prime rib on rib night few years ago and we were early.
Sounds like you weathered the power outage. We were at Dingy Beach Bar and couldn’t use credit card due to the outage. Yes it got quite steamy as time passed. Luckily it was just over an hour but then it went out again

I knew we were probably too late for prime rib. Last Monday they were even busier than last night.
The power was only out once while we were in town. It never went out once we got back to the Atrium and since the clock on the stove is not flashing, it either never went out here or the generator kicked on, immediately. I was told in other areas; it went out up to 6 different times.

We have found that if you stop by a day or so in advance and reserve with Mike the manager, how many "PR" you need, there would be no problem!! It has worked for us in the past!!

Good ol' GEBE! Always can be counted on to go out at the worst time! Sounds like a real sauna downtown. Eric really likes prime rib. Maybe we'll try it there sometime.

OK, Eric really likes it, I could take it or leave it. Unusual, since I am a big beef eater.

I like prime rib if it is good but if you get a piece that is not, it is a waste of $$ IMHO.

We usually just stop by in the morning and reserve ours with Mike and never have a problem. I can also WhatsApp one of he longtime servers there and she will take care of it too.

JD. Their PR is excellent. We order ours Rare and it is always perfect. Tender and juicy. Had the King cut once. It was way too much for me to handle. Queen cut is perfect.

We usually stop by day before and order the prime rib. Were you charged 18% sc because you were six or more?

"Were you charged 18% sc because you were six or more" Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it states that on the menu.

I think it does. There were 5 of us.
I just checked the online menu and it does state a 18% SC for parties of 5 or more.
