Arrived at the airport at 1:10 m for 4:00 pm flight. WestJet checking was quick, less than 5 minutes. Although we were not checking any bags and had our electronic boarding pass on our phone west jet agent asked that we check in so that we can be identified and also suggest we get a paper boarding pass to avoid any issues at immigration. Walked up stairs, through security and immigration using all new electronic equipment- no problems at all. We were seated at the gate by 1:30. 20 minutes start to finish. Painless!

That's great news! It sounds like the departure check in process is seamless. it's the checking in at customs and the luggage hanger is the hold up still!! ONE hour we waited and only one carrier was in front of us! Safe travel until next time!!

Hi BillS, Just wondering if the departure area is finished now and if there is a bar/area where you can have a beverage before departure.

We had a 337pm AA flight today, got to the airport 2 hours in advance, carry on only, 23 minutes to clear security.
I prefer the Isle seat

Safe and east travels for you both. I usually hate departure day - doesn’t everyone? but it’s always nice to climb into my own bed at the end of the day.😊😊
