The island is as green as I have ever seen it. It is beautiful. Yesterday, we started out going to the grocery store and then decided to go the long way and drive around the island.
We stopped at On Dirait Le Sud in Orient for some lovely charcuterie. And we had some last night. The bresaola was the best I have ever eaten. The prosciutto could have done with a little removal of fat but still was quite good. We got some pesto and fresh pasta for dinner last night. Sooooo good.

It is nice to see Marigot starting to come back. The water front is looking decent now. Although, I am not so sure that the containers are that much of an upgrade for what was there in the past.

We drove through Sandy Ground and it looks the same. But Nettle Baie is starting to get cleaned up nicely.

We got our groceries at Carrefour including lots of big carrots to grate up for the iguanas here at Divi.
Then it was "home" for a dip in the Caribbean. I was not thrilled to see a big barge sitting in the middle of Little Bay. Apparently, that is where they are putting the under water sculpture "garden".
Luckily, that barge is gone today.

We had a short trip into Pburg today for a little watch shopping. Dan and Cash at Joe's Jewelry never disappoint. Dan had gotten me a Frederique Constant moon and stars watch to look at. Pretty sure I am going to get it. IT is lovely.
We looked at IWCs at Art of Time. They were gorgeous. Decisions Decisions.

We had lunch at the Greenhouse. Both of our burgers were just okay but the fries are excellent. Carol, isn't it you who likes to hear about good fries?

Back to the resort for a dip in the Caribbean and then reading on the deck watching the iguanas. One of the iguanas has a really good "getting stuff" face.....much like our labrador X dog.
So they got more grated carrots. The people above us were also throwing them some fruit.
It's been a nice couple days. Now, if only, my file upload to work would finish so i can put away the work laptop for the remainder of the time.

How far from shore is the underwater sculpture garden going to be? I was wondering if the expectation is that people will swim to it, or is it a destination for snorkel boats.

Yup, I love me some good french fries!

When you say Nettle Baie is getting cleaned up, not sure what that means? Taking down some abandoned buildings?

I imagine with the capital outlay it's probably going to be a pay to play excursion.

I understand what StMartinFan is asking. Can you swim from Little Divi to the snorkel site. I have a feeling that you can because you swim out to the existing snorkel site.
I would imagine that it will bring more tourists and traffic to that site.

Sounds like a great relaxing couple of days. We haven't been to Divi in a few years--well before the bad hurricane. Heard there have been lots of improvements.

You can swim from the beach at Divi to the site, but I would say you need to be in fairly decent shape to make it both ways.

Otherwise, there are excursions to the site.
