Arrived in the BVI again last night. Daughter opted to take her family of 5 on the new MIA flight. Connecting flight into MIA ran late but they made the flight and were relieved to see the checked bags show up at the flight with 10 minutes to departure. Sadly the flight pushed 8 minutes early and they left all their bags. I suspect maybe a landing weight issue. I told my daughter not to worry as AA would put them on the SJU flight and connect them over to the BVI. I was wrong and the bags are still in MIA and no one at AA will even discuss it. Just wait 5 days and file a claim. Suggestions? AA agents at Beef Island would not even give her the 13 character code to track lost bags and impossible to get someone on phone.

Will be interesting to find out the reason the bags didn't make it. This is peak travel time with schools getting out. If weight is the issue and all flights are full, how will they resolve it?

Retrieved the bags and ran down to Peter for the night. Plenty of balls open at Cooper at 4pm. G

Glad to hear. So the bags arrived one day late? I can live with that. We always figure that's a possibility, especially on Cape Air.

One day late was not a big deal. If AA had simple sent us a email saying that was the plan I would have been happy. We only knew what was happening because of Air Tags. We could actually see the bags moved to the departure gate in Miami. Still no updates from anyone at AA.
