We had a really good evening last night at the Bamboo House. Food was good and the entertainment was top notch. The wife had the sushi special which was a generous portion of a salmon and avocado roll. I had the Korean ribs. They were very tasty but unfortunately they were mostly fat. The potatoes and salad that came with it were very good. Service was good although a bit slow. Not surprising since they had a full crowd. Altogether, it was a most pleasant evening. And the Sweet Apple Band was the icing on the cake.

Thanks for the report and the pictures. We definitely want to try that place in June. We do NOT eat sushi at all. Anyone have recommendations for meat or fish entres that you enjoyed?

Carol.....I think I had the salmon and the ribeye last year and I remember them both being good.

Carol, David had the grilled salmon with bok choy, coconut rice and I ate the Korean beef short ribs which were not fatty. We do eat sushi which we enjoyed. We had great meals that night. Our friend had steak and another chicken which they too enjoyed. Service was spot on with a killer view.

It looks like this is a must try place for us, and I'm especially interested in the sushi offerings. Their sushi menu is only rolls, and it seems if you want nigiri or sashimi, you can't order pieces individually but have to order their combo plates. Is that right? Also, do they do local seafood (however sourced), such as grouper, conch, snapper, perhaps trigger fish in addition to the classic offerings?

We're still 2 months away.
