Bill--thanks for the pictures. It looks like on your unit, at least, you can actually use the stairs to get all the way to the sand now. What about the other units? Is there still a drop-off to get to the sand?

I will say that I am ambivalent about this topic. This is not meant as a criticism of you, but we do NOT encourage them to come up on the deck at BSV. We love dogs, have always had them here, but I know that other people either don't like dogs or are afraid of them. So we don't encourage them to come up on the deck, out of respect for folks who rent after us. Just a different perspective.

Carol - We didn't encourage any of the beach dogs up onto the deck but they would occasionally come up on their own. I'm pretty sure Neo was one of them. They would seem to come up to drink the fresh water from the foot wash tub and then be on their way.
Our unit #5 still had about a 10" drop to the beach. The sand is coming back slowly as the rocks that were visible when we got there are now covered.

Looks to be a very well fed dog. Maybe a little too well fed.

He is wearing a collar and what appears to be a tag of some sort. Does he belong to someone? In one photo, he appears to have a bit of an entourage following him on the beach.

Whale Tail--yes, that's pretty common, that dogs will come up to drink. Again, we don't encourage it.

Hopefully the sand will continue to come ack.

He's very popular on Simpson Bay Beach between Mary's Boon and BSV....we love seeing him and the other dogs play on the beach. Very amusing at times. I think his collar says NEO, I'm not lost.

Hopefully they aren't leaving little packages in the sand.
