Can anyone recommend a catamaran day trip to Anguilla - what are the best beaches or places to stop at.

No. Just take ferry over from Marigot. Get a taxi in Anguilla and go to Shoal Bay East. Make a day of it. Have lunch there. Have taxi pick you up in afternoon and go back to SXM. That will be dear but major fun. Most beautiful beach ever.!

We have done the Marigot ferry many times, a private charter boat at least twice.. along with day trips that involved the boat ride over with lunch on the beach st Shoal Bay and among our definite favorites, the boat trips to Prickly Pear years back for snorkeling and lunch on the little island. They’re all different and fun, each in their own way. AXA is worth the effort, whatever your personal pleasure.
