I know Twanger, but only because of a post a few months ago when I was going nuts trying to figure out which island it was. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />

Not White Beach on Guana.
Another hint - Picture was taken from an old derelict lighthouse on the very top of the island.

Not sure what happened to Twanger, but yes you must go further north. In fact far enough to speak Spanish <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Groovin.gif" alt="" />
Twanger - you ok?

I think that Twanger hopefully should be just fine right about now, as he's supposed to be in the BVI by now. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Smile.gif" alt="" />

Ding Ding Ding... We have a winner. Last spring I found an old slide of a mystery island and posted on the BVI Talk thread. The thread was labeled: Going Nuts The island was Culebrita - Twanger added the same pic to thread. So LBI2SXM do you have a beach for us to guess - You Are Up!

This is tough. A few came to mind but the land in the background threw me off. If I knew, boy I would be on this beach tomorrow! A little clue?

Ellen, I knew you would know it right away. You are up. Do you have a beach picture somewhere in the world that you would like to post for the next beach?

I somehow lost track of this thread! Lordy! Yes, the original picture is from the Lighthouse on Culebrita, Spanish Virgin Islands.

Watching your post of late, I would have to guess somewhere in the SVIs, but not sure where.

We need some SVI sailors to chime in.
My only visits to the SVI involved medevacs in CG days. Never stayed long. The helo landed we loaded and it is was off to Roosey Roads or Rio Piedras hospitals on PR.
Definitely a beach I would like to sit on one day.

More hints - There's a guest house, or Villa under that left/central hill, the beach was named one of the top 10 Caribbean beaches a couple of years back, and the beach is named after a tall bird.

And there it is!
Yes. Flamenco. Beautiful beach, and great snorkeling on the far east side in the rocks. It's open to the north and a bit rolly as an anchorage. Ok in a larger catamaran, if you keep an eye on the weather.

Ok. Big hint there... I've never seen that many boats in Lindbergh Bay, but I'll bite... Lindbergh?
Oh... what's that bay on Water Island... looks more like that. Is is Honeymoon Bay?

Well one has to hike the Lind trail to get to Honeymoon Beach STJ. One of my favorites.
