Our main source has been windguru.cz/58

It tells you what you most need to know: wind, waves, cloud cover, precipitation.
We've found it pretty accurate on the whole.

I like to check the official NOAA forecast site: link here

Click on the map for the zone you'll be in for the synopsis and additional detail (winds, seas, precip., etc). Will also include info on any ground swell that's running. I'll also use the Windfinder and PredictWind apps.

We're land-based so the information on swell and wind is used mostly to figure out our beach for the day. On our most recent trip we found that the BVI DDM forecast was accurate and very useful (we were there in a rare period of constant rain): https://www.bviddm.com/
