Marie and I are contemplating a land based trip to the SVI in February or April next year. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/circle.gif" alt="" />

We are looking for recommendations as to where to stay.

I seem to remember someone from here had moved to Vieques...

do you enjoy sailing? My husband and I will begin chartering next year a board our Lagoon 380. PM me if you are interested. The SVI are amazing and if solitude is your thing, you can be the only person on the beach and the only boat in the anchorage many times!

We stayed at Casa De Tortugas in Esperanza, Vieques. Its located about a half block off the Malecon. Groceries were within walking distance and all of the restaurants were too. We had the "5 O'Clock Somewhere apt. 2 bed/ 2 bath, full kitchen, great balcony for eating on. Great pool area. The wild horses are all around. Owners were managing the property at the time and were great.

Thank you.
We'll look into both of these suggestions.

Hello All! I am still on island and I do work at the W. I would be happy to help with suggestions and advice. Please send me a PM and bare in mind I don't check this often so give me a little time to respond.
Thanks!
