And here comes the rain……..again!

Wednesday morning around 8:30 we were off to get our return COVID testing done at Medworks when suddenly, the beautiful sunny sky disappeared and the rainclouds dumped a torrential thirty second shower on us. In absolute honesty, we really have seen more rain this trip than ever before and it hasn’t interfered with our trip not one iota. And the showers of very short duration continued every few hours for most of the day.

The actual testing was a piece of cake and we had our results in about twenty minutes. We did breakfast at the Yacht Club after our tests and got to chat with Monique for a bit which is always time. And how nice it is to see the mega yachts returning every day. Nice to know there will be a ‘season’ this season.

So many seemingly small things have happened this trip but trust me on this - they haven’t been small to me……

Back home to BSV after breakfast and had the nicest surprise. Another TTOLer, bdeeley had walked down the beach from Coco’s where he stays but sadly, we were out at the time. We connected on TTOL after the fact and he came back down the beach and we visited for probably an hour comparing notes on all things SXM and other things as well. Thank you, Brian, for making the effort.

And the other day Luda - TTOL Snuba - stopped by and introduced herself as well. It’s great to be able to put a face to a name. I hope her family was all able to get here.

To Mike (from Colorado?) - I can’t believe you remembered the coin conversation with my DH from last year and that you so very thoughtfully provided the D mint coins for him.

Terry and Rit - we’re gonna miss our near neighbors tomorrow but we’re on our way soon, too. And Michele and Terry - it’s always lovely spending time with you both even if one of you might have a hard time distinguishing catsup from hot sauce.

And lastly, to all those here that we hoped to connect with but didn’t quite make it happen, thank you for understanding.

After a light dinner at the Spaghetti House we’re home and thinking about packing and all the ‘going home things that need to be done for our Friday departure. Going home really sucks but at this point, being home isn’t half bad after a lovely SXM visit and it certainly has been that.

Please explain the confusion of catsup from hot sauce. Must be a story to it.

Nah - no ‘story’ - just a smile among old friends.
