I have taken a liking to El Zafiro lately, but gotta love Rosie's. Nothing like eating Grilled Lobsters while sitting in the ocean on Pinal though.
and as far as memories go, Neil and Pat hit a bunch right on the head. but... LMAO... let us not forget the Burger King Winnebago that used to be on welfare road back in the late 80's early 90's.

Senility is setting in, but the bar where the current Dinghy Dock is located was run by Mike and his wife. They used to have a laundry service for the boaters there, but what we remember most was stopping by on the way to the airport and having the best shrimp dinners before boarding our plane. After Mike sold, he and his wife relocated to the channel close to the old Mario's. It was not a bar or restaurant but simply laundry. We stopped in and I told Mike how much we loved his shrimp and he said, "stop by tomorrow and I can rustle you up some shrimp." Too funny that he would suggest treating us one last time.
Ok revelation! As I was typing out this response I remembered the name ..... Barnacles! Wow. Nice when the old memory kicks in!

It was called Shrimpy's, named after the dog I believe. Used to get their wonderful curry potato toasted sandwich for our plane ride. Wonderful food there.
Barnacles came later, excellent Greek food.

Shrimpy's was on the water where Dingy Dock is now, same building structure that Lal's is at the building that once had Hot Tomato's. I wouldn't have considered it a beach bar but we did enjoy our stops there for internet and cocktails.
I prefer the Isle seat

Yep. Hard to call it a beach bar with no beach.
