I just stumbled upon this place: https://theresortbvi.com/

I believe this is the construction going on next to Hendo’s. The master plan looks pretty ambitious. Anyone know more info?

It is a portfolio of Delk Enterprises....they also own the Glass house further down the beach which looks really nice

No idea when it will be done...funny they have picture of Baths, Virgin gorda on main page

We wondered what the footings next to Hendo’s were foretelling.

This makes me sad. Glad we will be able to enjoy White Bay in 2022 several times (via water) before this begins in earnest. Not all “progress” is positive - Maho Bay as an example - and without a resort 😥

Unfortunately it is a growing trend in the BVI. I can recall when Scrub Island just had a restaurant, when the side of Virgin Gorda behind Bitter End was deserted, when Saba Rock was a rock., etc. Lots of development over the years catering to the high-end crowd.

I would say go enjoy Smugglers Cove while you still can.

well said....we are staying in the pink House JVD in December and can see the beginning of the end...not that I begrudge the people of BVI from making a living by having businesses to work at

Visited last week and concluded the Pink House/Ivan's Stress Free side is the better part of White Bay. Ivan's pain killers are 👍; Soggy Dollar's are shadows of their former selves (comparison made by scientific empirical testing).

I agree. I've always preferred the quiet side of White Bay. And Soggy's pain killers were very disappointing when we were there in July.

Jhart - next time try Darlene’s signature Bikini Bottom. Amazing. I have been trying to duplicate it at home - lots of testing but still don’t have it right....😎. We went to Soggy once in our last two trips - March and June - and we moored in White Bay for nine nights in total (easy to do when you are there for multiple weeks each trip). Soggy was a huge disappointment. We love Ivan’s.

We moored in front of Ivan's in 2017 the summer before Irma - what a joy. Well except what happened after 2 #3 painkillers from Soggie's - ended up losing $100 bill in the sand and then turned the back of my catamaran steps into the most painfull waterslide ever invented. Those pain killers are no joke! One of those times where alcohol caused the accident but also prevented serious injury! Anyway all that to say way prefer the quiet side of White bay to the more popular side... ah BVIs will be back in May - can't wait!

Ugh...this looks like another horrifically expensive property - "own a piece of paradise"???

Welllll....we are booking a cat for November 2022 to celebrate a significant birthday.....but I don't like where this is all heading frown
