It's no secret I've never been a huge fan of JB and here we go again.
A few weeks ago I took advantage of some very good pricing on JB and in an attempt to use up miles and travel bank dollars I booked my November travel. to SXM. Typically, if forced into using JB we would fly out of JFK but having noticed a JB n/s flight from EWR, we booked it round trip. We were aware of their habit of routinely cancelling the Tues., Wed., and Thursday flights so I deliberately booked the Friday round trip which is usually a safe bet to avoid cancellation. Saturday, in checking my reservations as I routinely do, I discovered JB does not list the flight we're booked and confirmed on.
When you attempt to search for it, our flights come up as non-existent yet when I check our reservations it does NOT show any changes. I'm relatively certain it's not a matter of it being totally booked and taken out of the scheduling but I don't know where to go to clarify.
In attempting to contact JB to clarify the situation I got their recorded message of an extended wait time, which right now is 244 minutes or the suggestion I should contact them on line and handle the issue that way. This extended wait time thing has been going on for weeks now, although about two weeks ago I did manage to get through to book another trip with only a ten minute wait time. I definitely do NOT feel comfortable trying to resolve this issue via computer messaging.
I'm once again feeling extremely unhappy with JB at this moment. Any thoughts or suggestions.......
Respectfully,
pat

Pat--I don't have any particular words of wisdom for you, other than when the recording says it's that long a wait time, do you have the option to have them call you back when it's your turn? When I called AA recently, I called once and the recording said it was going to be an hour and they could call me back in a hour. I wasn't going to be available in an hour, so hung up. A couple minutes later I changed my mind and decided I would risk it, and decided to call back. This time again it said an hour, but I had them call me back. AA called back in less than 5 minutes. So, if you're going to be available to take the call and you have the option to have them call you back, do that. It may not be nearly as long as they say. (OR, it might be two days! )
Don't blame you on not wanting to handle it by email. No way.
I did get the message re JB calling me back a few weeks ago when I was booking another trip and they did actually call back within the time frame they specified but I am NOT getting that option now. I wish I was....
boucharda,
I had this problem with JB last November but via JFK when they cancelled the midweek direct flights and we had to rebook everything. If I could get through to them I would just cancel the whole thing, get my refunds and book elsewhere but that isn't happening.
I know many think JB is the best thing that has happened to air travel from our area. Me? Not so much.......

Can't remember whether it was Alaska or American when I requested a call back, I was able to either have them call back when it was my turn or select a time for the call back. Does JB give you that option?
As of two minutes ago, JB gives NO call back option at all..... Very frustrating. And there have been no changes to our scheduled reservations - they are still showing us as confirmed on those non-existent flights.

Think about a quick stop to Florida and visit with Carol and have a moderators meeting on the website. Then take the discounted Fronteir airlines shuttle from florida right into SXM direct. Problem solved without interacting with JetBlue.
You could try this service that attempts to wait on hold for you, it worked for us trying to reach Disney earlier this year: https://gethuman.com/call-back/JetBlue
AA is not my favorite BUT I would definitely defer to them vs Frontier
I would, after actually talking to a human, book the Thursday (or Saturday) flight on JB. Prices are a tad high but you should be able to get the flight with no fee because THEY dumped your original flight....worth getting up at 5a to call...
Don’t know how you got so lucky in getting through - I must have called a dozen times today and the shortest wait time was 196 minutes.
I’m not buying the excuse the flights were totally booked. A week or so ago they didn’t have twenty seats booked on either flight. Call me skeptical…….

I don't believe it either. I just got off the phone with another person and he said everything is fine and checked with his supervisor-----
Pat, we are flying JB out of EWR , Friday,11/12, returning Friday,11/26. Just checked my flights, they show up as confirmed & ready to go, Mike.
Hi, Mike,
Did you look at your personal reservation info or did you look at the schedule as if you were attempting to book a new ticket? I can’t believe they filled those flights in less than two weeks. And the schedule files another posted put up, they show no flights on those dates. My reservations show as still there but the flights are gone from the schedule as it is posted above by Boucharda.
Not to tell anyone else what to do but if I were you, I’d definitely recheck that info.

Seriousorly skip all the drama and fly out of JFK and use the ID.NOW covid test. Last time you stated you flew AA first class why not this time ? What is your time for vacation worth ? If JetBlue dose not work for you then fly AA ? Living in Ct. ( Danbury ) why travel to EWR for what ever reason. JetBlue when they do fly arrives SXM later than United that fies out of EWR who is the first flight in on the weekend arrivals.
Speak softly but plan consciously. How can one moderate and not make a sound dicision in there own best interest ?
Mike - this is all so crazy. Patience, Pilgrim……🙂🙂
Pat, just got off the phone with JB agent(3 hour wait), she checked everything out and double checked with super, the flights are still confirmed for flying on both Friday’s. She said that they are both full, that’s why they are not showing up (even though when I check seat maps, they don’t show as full).
She also stated that if the flights were canceled/changed an email would have been sent out. I did get an email back in June saying my arrival time was changed and I accepted the change.
So unless I get an email otherwise, I can only go on what was told to me, hopefully it is correct, Mike.
Damn Pat, you should get your bottom out of retirement, work 2 full-time jobs and than rent a private jet with all your earnings to take you and your DH on your November trip. You could contract with the plane to land on the street right in front of your house so as to cut down on the commute time. Make sure your rental jet leaves by 3am so that you all can be the first to arrive.
Pat. I used to be a HUGE fan of Jet Blue for many years. With that said, i now try to avoid them whenever possible. Everything that they stood for for so many years went down the drain years ago. Remember JB used to tout that they were not collecting extra fees for baggage. Well, we know that went by the boards. Also remember that they used to tout their seats were larger than the competition. Again....by the boards. And now, unless you pay extra for ''seat selection'' you get gauged an additional 30 to 50 bucks to reserve a smaller than old seat!! The straw that finally broke the camel's back, was when JB left my wife and myself basically stranded on the island last year, when they decided NOT to send planes down to SXM, to pick up all the passengers that they dropped off after we all were asked to leave the island when Covid forced the shutdown. While we were scrambling finding our way out, JB's attitude to all of us was basically, ''It sucks to be you...we can't help you". Thankfully we were able to find seats on AA and get us to MIA. I have since flown AA whenever we can, and am once again booked on AA for March 2022. JB is nothing now, like they used to be, and has become everything that they said they would not. I consider myself lucky, where i live since I have a choice to fly out of either FLL or MIA, even though MIA is another half hour drive, and a nightmare to drive to, but....for cheaper fares, and better service i surely will. JB has also cut their everyday service from FLL to SXM too. sad.
Exactly....makes zero sense how EVERY Tues/Wed/Fri flight is full for six straight weeks (except for the Wed before Thanksgiving) but they seem to be consistent with their script. Maybe it's just a glitch in the booking system...or....they were caught in the middle of an aircraft change and they are presently reseating all those passengers. Kinda far fetched but I have no other explanation
Good luck.....hope whatever it is declares itself soon and not a week before the flights
Edit: If anyone does call again it would be interesting to hear the explanation how ALL Saturday and Sunday flights are available for those same six weeks but all Friday flights are completely full? . Are Tues/Wed/Fri now more popular than W/E flights?
Use the texting option. Works perfectly. Or stop checking and they will probably be added back. But why are you going out of Newark? Jfk direct with JB or Delta. But looks like the Friday’s no one is flying direct from Jfk except JB. Very weird.
I booked with JB, because Delta cancelled my original flight and now has canceled the flight they were going to change us to. I said to Pat, that we have to wait. We can't rebook, when they are saying we have confirmed reservations.
Soon, I think, the emails will be going out, with the changes------hope I'm wrong!
As Terry said, my reasons for booking out of EWR, besides the fact I hate JFK, were the flight times were far superior to the ones from JFK at the time of booking as were the prices.
I stayed on hold on my portable phone last night for almost three hours before I gave up and went to bed and I didn’t even bother trying this morning after reading what they’ve told others who did manage to get through to them and actually speak with a CSR.
Gonna’ wait it out and see what happens although I already have my suspicions.

I think it's our only option right now. I called twice yesterday, and the second time the agent checked with his supervisor and the answer was the same.
The airlines are all crazy right now---hopefully things will change soon.
Just for giggles, I just tried to access Jet Blue website for booking for next June and got this message
"Be right back. Our website’s booking tool is currently experiencing technical difficulties. Full service to the website should be back shortly, so please check back soon. We’re sorry for the inconvenience!
In the meantime, book a flight through our partner, Priceline ."
Historically, I have often had problems with Jet Blue's website, but this is a first--go book on Priceline!!
Now I'm worried. We booked Wednesday 11/3 from EWR. We've always flown out of JFK so I was thrilled to find a EWR flight instead of JFK. My JB account still has the flight as confirmed but as everyone has said if you check on that date to book, there are no flights available from EWR. This is going to be a major headache to redo since the flights were booked on a combination of reward points and credits from a previous flight. Dilemma...should I wait and see if it corrects itself. Could lose the choice of seats. Or do I choose a day that I'm willing to waste on hold?
