We are chartering out of Grenada in late December and my husband and I are considering picking up the boat in Grenada, taking it to St. Vincent where we will pick up the rest of our crew. How long should we plan on it taking us if we don't sail at night?

2 days.

From Grenada to Union - 6 to 8 hours (St George's or Prickly Bay); Union to St Vincent - same again, 6 to 8 hours.

Depending, of course, on time of year, weather and yacht type.

You'll need to clear Customs & Immigration into SVG at Clifton Harbour in Union Island

How long is your charter for? And are you sailing one way?

We plan to charter for 10 days leaving Grenada around December 24. Found out from the charter company that we could make it in 2 days but will probably stretch it out to 3 days.

We have done that and it is great. Problem is that the rest of our crew can't leave until after Christmas and we have been told that we can't get a boat delivered until the 28th due to the Christmas Holiday and Boxing Day which wouldn't give us enough days. Anyway, since this post my family has decided they want to do the BVI one more time and then do Grenada the following year.
