Sounds as if it was the driver's fault. I'm a long-time motorcyclist and one has to almost anticipate this happening. And, yes, the rider should have been wearing a helmet.

I would not make that judgement with out more detail, often they are passing other vehicles and if one slows down to allow someone to turn, bad things can happen because neither may be able to see each other.

Thank you, Lesley. Yes, there are irresponsible riders, but there are also responsible ones. I hope he recovers.

Thanks Biturbo, and normally he rides a lot and without an helmet , but he will survive but badly injured. Prayers.

Lesley--I just don't get people that don't protect themselves, by wearing a helmet.. Hope he is ok.
