Does anyone remember when Le Galion went out of business? I seem to recall that it was still operational the first time I went to SXM in 1982 or so.

We stayed there in 82 but I don't remember when it closed.

I believe it was destroyed by Luis, but not sure.

I believe that it closed in 1990. We stayed there in 1984.

I 6think Irma destroyed the restaurant. I seem to recall being there 2 or 3 years before Irma.

I think you are right, the restaurant at LeGalion was destroyed by Irma, but I thought the poster was asking about the hotel, which was gone a long time before Irma.

I remember that, when i first went to St. Martin in 1979, with the guys, Le Galion was operational. When I next returned to St. Martin, in 1994, it was history.
