Don't recognise it so I'll go for the obvious... St Martin/SintMaarten?

Nope, not St. Barts. Your first guess was close, just not exactly correct.

I'm out for the time being as I think I'd need google to get the name of the small island that is part of St Martin but has it's own name.

I figure Zanshin will probably pop in any time with the correct answer....

Now I know for sure I posted that last response earlier tonight but the timer says I posted it yesterday at 10:27 PM. Somethings wacky here.

Fran--not Anguilla. Jeannius is on the right track, separate island, technically part of St. Martin.

And I must say, it’s at such a good angle, that it is very deceptive! Good job!

I just looked at the thread and saw the picture. I've wanted to go to this beach, but couldn't due to my boat's draft and I didn't want to take the ferry with the hoi polloi

Tintamarre is the little island I've been to so I'm guessing it is there?

Carol, I checked my computer time settings, they are correct. The post clock says one time for the initial post and then on the next post it was completely different. This morning it seems to have corrected itself somehow. I know I'm not the only one seeing this but oh well, not a world shaking crisis.

Jeannius--no, not Tintamarre. There is nothing in the way of restaurants on Tintamarre. I am going to say that 18 hours have passed, so google away, everyone!

No, not Playa but you're a little closer than Fred was. Keep going south. Another look.

No Tulum, but getting closer, still south. Hint: this used to be a sleepy little fishing village. The first time we went there the main 'street' was hard packed sand with large, ship mooring lines for speed bumps, now it's concrete.

Nothing much further south...Costa Maya expanded as a cruise stop when Carnival Corp built a pier

Costa Maya is the cruise ship stop, this village is about a mile or so further down and existed before the cruise ship pier. I'll give it to JP for Costa Maya but the village is actually Mahahual. You're up JP
