Ok fine, so I'm biased because I own one.. Barring comparing the sailing ability to the big cats, the layout and storage of a 3 cabin owners version, like the 3900, well what can I say.. I think there is a lot of cases of little boat envy when they step down into the owners hull, see all the cupboard and cabinet and closet spaces, the flat floor, and then, the best head and shower layout of any. I may get salon envy on occasion when I step onto the big boats, but even there, the new boats with the walk through are loosing bench seating and storage for the isle out to the front, but when I go into the heads, I think, there is no way I'd give up the little boat. My wife wouldn't either. Ok, ok.. We're on a Sunsail 444 next time around, but still. These bigger charter boats sure would be nice in an owners configuration. I do like that forward seating.. Nice way to get to some shade, but would I trade it for smaller head and less storage.. I don't think so.
ok..start with the "you could use a smaller head" comments, as the head attached to my neck.

Morning coffee discussion time....

Any owners version is great. Were on the 444 now and like it, but having been on the 48, the 48 is definitely nicer.

would love to be on either of those in an owners version or the 39 if its just 2-4 of us.

Just chartered the 3900 owners version. Amazing boat! Perfect for two couples. I wish the 48 came without a fore exterior saloon more interior space and an owners version. This could be the perfect boat. I love the RC design.

Regarding the 48, there's tons of inside space? That forward cockpit is awesome. Even on the 44, there's still plenty of interior space with the cockpit. I wouldn't want to see one on the 39 since it doesn't have the space for it, but the 44 and 48 both have plenty of space and we've done two trips now, one on a 44 and one on a 48 and the forward cockpit was used every day.

As far as owners version, there are a couple of 48 owners versions available for charter in Moorings I believe.

Talked to a Moorings representative last week about changing our 4800 two week June charter in the BVI to an owners version. She stated that they have one based in Tortola on the Advantage Program and that it will be leaving the base in March....she wasn't sure where it was going. My wife loves the forward cockpit on the 4800 and the large galley space.
