While I'm not optimistic it will happen soon, this matter needs to be resolved..

Interesting that this is now going on...again. A little background, we started visiting this area in the late 1980's. Back then and for many years since, Captain Oliver's had a small bridge on site called the "International Bridge" on one side Captain Oliver's (Hotel) the French side and on the other side Captain Oliver's (Restaurant) Dutch side along with other buildings on the pier over the water of Oyster Pond. Captain Oliver's played this to the fullest over the years. Who knew?

Hi Kid, you being a retired attorney know there's lots of "dinero" to be made in this matter, a coin toss, nah...

Take care and be safe....

I remember hearing those stories all around the docks there. Your right Bobcat, it’s a cash cow if it ever gets back open.

Great to hear from you, Bobcat !
How about a roll of the dice to settle this ?

Probably the best idea yet. Let em' roll.

Funny story regarding our first two dinners at Captain Oliver's restaurant for two couples.. This place is not on par, with places in Grand Case. The views of the Pond is one plus. We ordered a bottle of wine, one would expect wine glasses, they used plastic cups. When the check came they tacked on a 15% service charge as is usual on the Dutch side, however they showed this charge as a "tax" hoping I surmise we would add another 15% which is exactly what happened.
One year later we (same two couples) again dined at this establishment. The to guys went to the wash room as the check arrived. The two gals added 15% over the already added "tax". We could not believe they fell for that again. Funny now but no at the time.
