Looking for some opinions on travel. Heading to anegada from Boston April 4-11. Destination wedding for our daughter. We have been going to BVIs and have been to Anegada 5 times over the past 20 years. So we are well acquainted with Anegada and challenges getting there.
Planning on flying into STT then VI Airlink. Used this route last year and it works very well. The flights into STT are very expensive aka $1000-$1300 compared to prior trips.
We have flown in March and May etc -Past flights have been in the $600 plus but I have never seen them so pricey Just wondering if that week is special or this year flights are a bit more expensive. No real options for switching dates as plans are in motion.
Also wondering if the prices may come down as the date gets closer. We have a group flight reserved so we will go with that if the prices don't drop.
Also wondering if VI Airlink can take several flights if there are more than 9 max.capacity of aircraft?
Appreciate any input.

Airline service to STT is not fully restored from IRMA and you are there over Spring Break. Fares will be high. Are you looking at non stops only or is a 1 stop a option? G

Well we have to be there in order to catch the STT to ANG at 4. So we are going direct. No reasonable 1 stop options we found. Appreciate your input. Thank you.

You might try looking a day ahead or a day later - a quick search showed cheaper non stop Jet blue BOS-STT [not on April4] Or Spirit Air if you are willing?

Yes. You are correct. We have contemplated dates. Logistically for 15 people tough to arrange changing the dates. Seemed like the costs were around $700 then jumped up quite a bit after the holidays. I was trying to see if they would drop but opposite happened. Guess we will watch and wait. We have a group rate of $950 pp in direct flights reserved. Plus the other flight adds $320 ish pp.
Really just looking to see why the price was so high as we have never seen them that high. Probably as George stated Irma and Spring break has an impact.
It wedding for my daughter so we were prepared for issues we would have to overcome. We have been through it all - missing flights and ferries etc through the years. Anegada is worth it though.
We have 3 birthdays that's same week as well so a pretty special week.

Check flights to SJU and then fly interCaribbean to Beef. You can take the afternoon VI Airlink flight to Anegada.
