Since there are a lot of new people arriving, and there, what beach do you like to hang out at?? We are living through all the posts this last year.

Orient - it's close to where we stay & we usually have friends there.
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

Anse Marcel, hands down. After that, Grand Case, Friar's Bay, and Little Bay.

Cupecoy, baie rouge, pinel (back side of the island) and orient. Haven’t trekked out to Petites Cayes since Irma, but it was a favorite.

Currently Mullet Bay until Simpson Bay gets straightened out. What's wrong with Simpson Bay JD? Missing a lot of sand in areas with rock ledges exposed that are usually covered. Walking from Horny Toad towards the bridge, there are areas the water is up to the seawall and going the other way, Karakter had a big gully in front of the restaurant and a big drop off directly in front of the restaurant, leaving the stairs about 4' above the sand. According to Debbie here at Horny Toad, one of the recent storms took about 6' of sand off the beach and exposed the rock ledges that are usually covered. Some pretty big wave action here most of the days since our arrival.

Swam at Boon yesterday and none of that to be found. Past few months it's been pretty rough, but sand came back finally.

Orient Beach, as we stay there, and walk the entire beach every morning at sunrise, then get breakfast and hit the loungers for the day.

Plum Bay has been one of our favorites for many years. Quiet, with plenty of sand and great views. Just be careful of the rocks that line the shore. It can be slippery going in. Bring your chairs and cooler. Copecoy is also great, providing they have sand to sit on! The water for swimming is very enjoyable. It feels like you’re in a giant pool. Danny (or Dany), makes great rum punches and inexpensive lunches. We also visit Mullet quite frequently. The thing to do is bring your own chairs and cooler and walk down to the other end of the beach. No crowds and you almost have all that room to yourself. All beaches are great in St Maarten. The only problem we saw with Baie Rouge (and that was a favorite of ours years ago) last March, was all the garbage everywhere. Not to mention dog owners not picking up after them. The obnoxious Bush Boys, well that’s another story. Hopefully that beach comes back so we can all enjoy it.

It was fun to see all the different beaches mentioned here. Even though we LOVE staying on Simpson Bay, the water is usually too rough for me. I love love the water at Mullet when it is calm--usually the bluest and you can see your feet it is so clear. The food (Rosie's) and people watching is fun too!

Lots of votes for Simpson Bay Beach, but I don’t see it on TripAdvisor. Where would be a good place to go with access to chairs and, optionally, a restaurant?
