Can anyone compare/contrast Glen Helen, Deer Park and Glen Eden clubs in Southern California. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />

IMHO, Glen Eden is the best. Similar to Cypress Cove in Kissimmee, Florida. Nice pool, hot tub, tennis, volleyball facilities. Biggest difference is lack of a "fine dining" restaurant although the poolside café is very good. You can bring your own beverages or buy them at the front gate shop. There is not a poolside bar. Lot's of residents and guests so always people to hangout with. Very active.
Never been to Olive Dell but visited Deer Park once. Nice place. We were approached by a few couples wondering if we wanted to go to Freedom Acres -- ding ding swing swing.

Never heard of Glen Helen, but maybe you are referring to Olive Dell. Glen Eden (GE) is a step above the other two but they are good in a pinch. GE is 50 years old and a great spot.

The club in the "glen Helen" area is called ... Deer Park Nudist Resort. It's small and could be considered rustic. Haven't been there in some time but visited several times a while back.
Glen Eden is the most upscale of the three; Glen Eden, in Corona, CA, Deer Park in Devore, CA and Olive Dell Nudist Ranch in Colton, CA.
We are members of Glen Eden and my wife prefers GE over the other two BUT ... I happen to like the people and owners of ODNR, myself. I think the people at ODNR are actually friendlier more accepting and less snobby. I also don't care for the division between the "tennis" group and everyone else at our club. A bit of infighting of the residents and members of each side.
ODNR has much more area to roam for nude hiking ... but no indoor pool. Their pool deck area is smaller than the other two BUT ... they have a full bar! Their Café` is equally as good as Glen Eden's.
Glen Eden is mostly paved, where the other two are dirt and gravel roads. Lots of lighted tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pool, large spa, sauna, lots of RV and camping spots plus "park" style accommodations for rent. Beer and wine sold at the front office. A strip mall with a drug store and super market is only 1/2 - 3/4 of a mile away.
Deer Park; smallest of the three. Not sure of all the amenities because I haven't visited in quite some time.
If you're looking for a place close to outside amenities, an infrastructure of paved streets and less rustic feel ... Glen Eden's your best bet.

One item not mentioned by FireProf is that Glen Eden is now smoke free in the entire recreation area which may be good or bad depending on which side of the smoking spectrum you are on.

We are actually on the side that prefers "non smoking" ... and I'm a cigar smoker. I'm glad they did that. It was pretty annoying to sit outside the Cafe' or have lunch on the pool deck and have smoke surround you the entire day.
When I smoke my cigar ... I'm usually at our campsite and with "the go ahead" by our neighbors or ... I'll walk over to the parking lot or take a walk away from where people are.
Thanks for adding that bit of info about GE.

Yep, that's the rule. But I recently saw a few poolside smokers near the tables/showers outside the pool fence. It wasn't crowded and the café was closed so not big foul that day.

From talk we overhear on the deck or in the pool ... there are a couple of deviant residents that will push it every so often. Still it's a nice place and my wife prefers it to others in the area. We should be heading there for a few days of naked camping in a couple weeks.
