This might be a long shot but we are trying to reach out to a couple we met last spring.
My husband and I were in the BVI's in April 2019 and met a great couple from Boulder, Colorado who own their own Island Packet. I believe you were at the rum bar on Cooper Island and my husband spoke with you both briefly.
We too are from Colorado and curious about logistics of owning a boat and keeping it in the BVI's.
If you are on this forum, please let us know if you would be willing to share your insights!
Thanks,
Sarah

That's not me - I live in Florida - but we own an Island Packet that charters out of St Thomas with Island Yacht Charters. I'd be happy to share our experience - send me a PM.

Sarah, we are from Vail, Colorado and are also looking into having a boat in the Caribbean. I grew up in Grenada on a sailboat and will retire from teaching this year so want to get back as often as possible. My husband is actually currently looking for jobs on any of the USVI's and Puerto Rico either with the Forest Service (PR) or Park Service. (He can't retire yet so would want to continue in his career path due to benefits.) My brother currently has a boat in charter with Sunsail that we get to sail on about once a year but we want more time down there. Would love to hear what you find out.

We are from Pine, Colorado and sail our Island Packet 380, named Aspen, in the Caribbean from November to June every year. During hurricane season we keep the boat out of the water in Grenada. Feel free to contact us!
