We've been coming to SXM for many years, but never went to Porto Cupecoy. Is there parking, if you aren't lodging there?

Yes. Once you enter there's a Carrefour at left but go right and there's parking not associated with the market. This parking wraps around and there's another entryway from there to the courtyard. There's also a staircase in front up to the courtyard.

When this this begin? We never encountered valet parking there. Is it because of th casino opening?

We had no problem parking last night. We were the only ones in the casino for quite a while, other than employees.
