I'm not sure if there's interest in this, but I'll throw it out there and see if anything sticks. I'm curious to see how far the TTOL network reaches. Maybe I have TTOL'ers in my city, Austin, and I don't even know it! On the site, you can drill into each member profile and typically see a member's home city, etc. But it would be cool to see it on a map (very generally speaking - no specific home addresses, of course.). Here is the updated map as of a couple of minutes ago. I'll still consider it a work in progress so keep the responses coming! We have around 85 pins on the map so far! New update! 134 pins on the map! Jdud133, you've been relocated back to MA (leading zero on the zip was dropped and messed it up). Let me know if anyone sees anything else that looks wrong. So if I start out in Buffalo looks like I can head up through Canada to Nova Scotia then down the East coast then turn up through La. and then out west and then up the PCH and head back dipping down into Co. and back to NY....TTOL cross country Road Trip!!!!!

did mine...actually did it twice since the map located me near Ft.Wayne IND and I thought that my registration did not go thru...and I live about 1 1/2 hours south of there...Fountain City...just north of I-70 but other than that this map idea is great..thanks!!

Seems to be a problem with several pins duplicated in south america and the one in thailand showing up middle of pacific below equatot.

tpcook, thanks for the response. I'm not seeing the same, but I've noticed that if you look at it on a phone or tablet (iphone or ipad for me), the pins and map sometimes get off-sync if you quickly scroll around. May want to zoom out and then back again. Seems to be much more solid on a laptop/desktop. Let me know if others see anything strange like that though.

This is absolutely great, don't get me wrong, but where are we going to be able to find the map in future? Really need mods to place it somewhere as a 'sticky' or else all your hard work will be wasted as no-one will be able to find it in a couple of months time. Help please moderators.....

Here are a few updates related to the TTOL map. - The map has been updated with 249 entries and can be fond online here - TTOL Member Map - In truth, I have 279 people who have submitted entries. When I started this thought, I didn't know if we would get 50 responses. Turns out that the free version of BatchGeo only allows 250 entries on each map (upgraded Pro version is $99/month - no thanks). So let me think of another option to support the growing responses. Recommendations are welcome. - The map and form was shared by a member with the Saint Martin forum. I've never been to SXM, but I'd love to! Anyway, some of the latest entries may be from that group. But someone in that section has volunteered to do their own map. So the latest group of people on this particular map may be from the SXM forum, but we're all of the same spirit and interests! - Further, I'm super swamped with this work thing. So I'll get to updates asap and will figure out an alternative to accommodate the growing list in another free map service. I'm excited there was so much interest in this and hope that it turns into new connections in the community!

Thanks for everyone's patience on the map update. I was able to find another map service that supports 250+ uploaded points (we're now up to 286!). You can find the new map at TTOL Member Map I like this service since you should see a full list of everyone on the left side. You can then click on a member's profile name to see them on the map. Updates applied to the map from the month of January. I also went through and cleaned out a few duplicates (some folks submitted another entry with an email addition, update, or whatever). Wow, I just looked at the TTOL Map form, and we've received 36 new entries since my last post in April! Time for an update! Now up to 470 pins on the map. New pin drops in China and Spain, too! I may hit a problem if our map goes over 500 pins (forcing me to pay $$$ to keep it up). Let me know if anyone has a recommendation for a free web-hosted mapping software that allows me to upload spreadsheets (I was already pushed out of batchgeo.com when the map got bigger). Time for an update to the TTOL Member Map! I've been taken away from the board and this map for some time, so I'm excited to get back to it. We now have 497 entries on the map! The latest update includes a pin drop on Switzerland, Scotland, and four more entries from my native country (Texas). I'm not sure if this map is being grandfathered after Zeemaps restricted their free map service. I'll just keep uploading new contacts until we bust it. Ain't that the truth. I've flown out of Newark to West Palm Beach to visit my mother. The wheelchair parade onto the plane holds up everything, but God forbid you get in front of any of them running off the plane when it lands.

Think we're already on the map but, just in case, we moved from Leverick Bay, North Sound, to Bradenton, Fl aka Lakewood Ranch roughly 8-years ago (2007-8) and are loving life!!! There are various definitions of "island life" and it's challenges but we wouldn't change a thing however it's not for the faint of heart OR the wee pocket book...

New update to the TTOL Member Map. We now have 647 pins on the map! I had to make some changes since ZeeMaps got smart and blocked me from loading any more entries without getting on their paid plan. So I've moved everything over to Google Maps. The link in my signature has been updated, and you can get to the new map by going to... TTOL Member Map As always, please let me know if you see anything off or would like to request and update to your pin. Thanks!
