I just noticed that it was sold and will not be clothing optional any longer.

That was the "new" terra cotta. I had chatted with Tom and Mary Clare not that long ago.

Yes we were bummed out when we got the email a couple weeks ago about the closing. We'll be in California (from Virginia) in September, and had reservations to stay at the Terra Cotta Resort for a week - we enjoyed the original Terra Cotta Inn the 3 times we were there, and were looking forward to seeing Tom & Mary Clare again. Fortunately, we were able to get reservations at Desert Sun to match the dates. We wish Tom & Mary Clare the best in their future, and hope to see them at another c/o resort someday !

Mary Clare tweeted about the Tuscany Manor Suites. They are re-opening September 13 as clothing optional. https://tuscanymanor350.com/ I would assume they expect to pick up some of the business that Terra Cottta had.

Chuck, we're going to New Orleans instead as we have never been there before. Staying at the Green House Inn that has a clothing optional pool. Jazz and Blues Clubs here we come.
