We are planning to visit Portugal in October and were looking for transportation options from Faro towards Almeria, Spain. If you have been to Play Vera, please let us know. Thanks.

We've been going to Vera Playa every June for a number of years. We always rent an apartment in a naturist development, and spend our days on the beach. Most of Vera Playa is a naturist zone, including the streets, so you can wander naked from your apartment to the beach and back. On the beach, there are sunbeds to rent and several naturist beach bars for lunch. Happy to answer any questions you might have.

The quickest way from Faro to Almeria is by plane, but there's a stopover in Madrid - total trip about 5 hours. Or you could take a bus to Seville, then a flight from Seville to Almeria - similar sort of timing.

Thanks for the info. We have some time and want to travel by ground, but not terribly interested in a one way care rental. Would trains be viable? Do you need a car in Playa Vera?

Sure, trains are an option; just Google and you'll find various alternative routes.

You don't need a car in Vera Playa if you're happy to stay put and use the local supermarket and restaurants. If you want to explore the area, obviously a car would be useful.
