La Plantation is open for sure. I think La Playa will open in July. Esmeralda is open. Yes you can rent chairs and umbrellas from Cedric and his staff at Club O. $20 for 2 chairs and an umbrella. He does do a few weekly rentals as well. Food and service at Perch is cash only. Great food and service.
As the other reply stated, Plantation and Esmeralda are open. No idea whether La Playa will actually be open by July or not. Regardless, there are a ton of small accommodations in Orient Village area, available via VBRO, etc., with more overall rooms than the hotels. Plenty of places to stay. Enjoy!
Also, Palm Court is scheduled to re-open in July, but I think I would call first before trying to make a reservation there. It is closer to the beach than La Plantation, and likely cheaper than Esmeralda with summertime rates. You can call this number for info: (800) 480-8555.
P and P from Canada., When did you visit? Our first and second trip they did the special rate on chairs with an umbrella. When we were there in November Cedric said it was too hard to keep track of. Our last trip was February 23 to March 28th. Cedric had a few one week passes to sell. Same concept as in the past. A book of coupons, one given to the beach guys each day. Enjoy your stay!
