It’s where you like it the most! For us -it’s always a choice between Zee Best, La Croasonnierie in marina royale and Serafina and one more bakery on a Simpson bay lagoon, sorry I forgot the name...

We had breakfast at the Simpson Bay Yacht Club at least three times while we were there and each time it was excellent. Add in their Bloody Mary or oj w/champagne and I don't think they can be beaten.
But we never did find French toast made of baguette like they used to do it. Any suggestions for next trip?
Respectfully,
pat

I think that is what it's called. It's in the Simpson Bay Resort complex. Mexican restaurant.

La Patrona if you want an amazing buffet breakfast with Mexican and American selections. Zee Best if you want a more French type of breakfast.

Mini quiches, almond croissants and great coffee on the deck behind La Soufriere! Order one of their delicious sandwiches to go for the beach.

I think if you asked at croissant royal at marina in Marigot they would probably make that for you. However the thick fresh bread they use is quite special for French toast!

If you're in the Oyster Pond area, Bread n Butter, located across from BZH and next to l'Oasis has wonderful, home made large croissants.like In Simpson Bay, we like Vesna Taverna/Bagel House ;ocated across from Mc Donald's.
Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.

Another vote for Croissant Royale. And Norm's right about Bread n Butter. Great baked goods for eating in.
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

L'Arhawak Restaurant opp the market and Ferry in Marigot. Very French, local...Breakfasts about $8.00 for a great coffee, juice, omelet bread and salad. But one young girl there in the morning makes the absolute best BBC's and Bushwackers. Having one of those(or two) before 10am starts the day.....

I could not remember the name of the place high on the hill above Orient Beach, was it Paradise View?
My wife and i loved that place for breakfast.
Did it survive the Hurricane?

Yes that was the name, and sadly, no, it did not survive Irma.

I agree with most of these, especially SMYC, but we do love the pastry at Jules and have eaten there with their great coffee or back at BSV on the deck with a view!!!
Atlantico was a favorite when the lady worked behind the counter. She made the best coffee, but it is different now--still the food is very good. My crepe was different too, but everyone said it's the same people.
It's hard to experience them all, when the atmosphere at SMYC is so addicting.
Vesna Taverna has the best food--but still haven't been there for breakfast---have heard only good things.

Vesna Taverna has the best food--but still haven't been there for breakfast---have heard only good things. Very wise opinions, Terry, The thing about asking about the ‘BEST’ of anything is purely every individual persons opinion and that can be based on virtually anything. Some people consider breakfast to be juice and coffee where others will want the full American style breakfast - bacon, eggs, toast and home fries or any variation in between the two. Others will overlook many short-comings in food quality if the view is stunning. And others could care less about the view and will accept poor service if the food is outstanding. Me, as I said earlier, I still think the Yacht Club has it all and that’s what I base my opinions on.
Respectfully,
pat
