Looking for some local knowledge, best place to anchor in Charlotte post hurricane,to reprovision. Wanted to take dock at CYOA and dinner at Hook Line and Sinker but they have no space. I want to stay away from any left over debris.
Thanks

You could easily find dock space in Crown Bay, walk to provision at Pueblo, and taxi, walk or dinghy to Hook,Line,
sinker or any of the fine other restaurant choices in Frenchtown.
Anchoring in the harbor in obvious places is acceptable, the cove on the west side of Hassel island is also very good in settled weather, easy dinghy to town or crown bay.
[It is Charlotte Amalie or Town - absolutely no one calls it Charlotte.]

I would tuck into the cove at the northwest corner of Hassel Island (Google map coordinates 18.331708,-64.937833). I usually see 2-3 boats anchored there. Short protected dinghy ride to Frenchtown Marina with numerous nearby dining options and provisioning at Moe's Market on the Waterfront.
