Lots of pages about Boaty Ball, enough already. Since Irma there are fewer mooring balls. Tell us some great traditional anchoring spots. Your favorites, hints, tips, what to look out for and such. Thanks

We anchored Savannah Bay on VG six years ago. Shallow and wouldn't do it in heavy weather or a very deep draft but a beautiful spot.

Make sure you anchor where permitted by the charter company. A few spots like Pomato point are not allowed by most companies.

Woodsnwine - click HERE and it should show you on google-maps.

Or failing that just cut and paste this into google-maps: 18.502756, -64.365641

Its clearly marked as Prickly Bay on a bunch of old charts we have...but doesn't seem to appear in the pilot guides. We've always known it as Prickly Bay, others may know it as 'the anchorage just to the ENE of Vixen Point'!

Any thoughts on Eustatia Sound, to the W of Eustacia Island? Although I've heard this can be off limits to some charter companies.
