What’s the best beach bar in Gran Case? And where would you park?

Beach bar? Hmmm. We like the Rainbow Cafe there. Always got good service, and it is indeed right on the beach. You can sit on the back deck there and have your favorite brew. Best to bring euros here or use your charge card. As for parking you may be able to find something on the street, but there's construction going on here so I would see what others on this message board say. Rainbow Cafe has no dedicated parking area that I am aware of. Hope this helps.

My daughter suggested we try Something ????? Cerise’s also in GC. Perhaps a little more pricey but they really enjoyed it. I think she said chairs and umbrellas were included with lunch? Food and service were excellent. Wish I could recall the full name.......

Yes, that’s the place. She thought it was lovely and the service was excellent. Perhaps a bit pricier than some places but well worth it for the lovely experience. Can’t wait to find out firsthand!

Had another really bad service problem at Rainbow again this week. Second time they stopped Bill from leaving so he could pay his bill, 10 minutes after he paid and tipped!

Wow, I really have NO interest in going to Rainbow in future! Between LOUD music and all these service issues, no thanks!!

We had a wonderful experience at Rainbow, valet parking, chairs and umbrella included if you purchased food. Our lunch was delicious, I had a yummy seafood pasta, hubby had a burger that he thourghly enjoyed and our friend some sort of fish dish that she said was great. It was a Sunday and they had a great singer accompanied by a sax player.

For every wonderful experience, it seems there is one involving bad service. I'm just not willing to risk it, for myself..

Just got back from a week at Grand Case in February. Capt Freddy's has the chairs with the vinyl straps right to the south of Rainbow, I didn't count, but he probably has a few dozen chairs. Rainbow has red fabric chairs, with a little shade thing for your head, probably closer to 50 chairs, and the next place to the North is Cerises, which has a few dozen chairs with full cushions, and there is even an portion that is under an overhang of the building that is pretty well shaded. We stayed at an apartment located between Cerise and Rainbow - we had our own parking so can't comment on the that or the pricing, but I can tell you the chairs at Cerises looked to be the most comfortable. There were no other beach bars with chairs on Grand Case when we were there in February. Cerises is definitely the nicest of the three, though I did not eat there or at Rainbow. We ate and had drinks at Freddy's a few times and the food and service were good, the prices were reasonable. Also, Cerises has a restaurant with an open balcony that looks like it would have a great view of Anguilla. We looked at the menu briefly, and it looked a little high end.

Interesting. Been there twice and both times it was really good. Just like people maybe they have their good days and bad days (but they better reign in those bad ones). Last time we were there (which was actually two years ago) we did get a bartender who spoke only French, so that was kind of odd. But, soon a bi-lingual bartender came over and all was well.

I think this is the former Love Hotel which has been reinvented after Irma. They now have a small restaurant and beach area to enjoy for daily guests. It is getting the best reviews for beach bars on the water in Grand Case. Definitely worth a try since Rainbow is not always consistent.

Hi Jazzgal ... when we were here I'm almost certain it cost more to use USD when compared to the euro. Menu definitely was in euros, so we just did that. I don't believe this place is 1-to-1 with dollar-to-euros, but it may have changed since the hurricane. Sure hope so. I don't recall them having valet parking (like Ocean 82 nearby did). Was it added lately? Definitely a good move on their part to have that! We didn't get here on our latest trip, and it's been almost two years since we visited the Rainbow, so my info may be a bit dated.

This place was bought by the owners of Sol e Luna so I’m not sure it’s the same as in the past.

Scubaman--we haven't eaten at Rainbow in YEARS, but there have been so many complaints about bad service there, I'm not going to risk one of my precious days of vacation on them.

They had it in November/December when I was there. However, when I arrived, the valet parker wasn't there so I had to find my own space. By the time I left for the afternoon, he was on duty. So it may be hit or miss.

My Granddaughter said the burgers were incredible and don’t forget, there’s at least the cost of chaise lounges, really comfy ones at that per Sarah, that you don’t have to rent, so that’s at a minimum of a $20.00 to $30.00 savings or $10.00 to $15.00 off each burger for you and Andre.

You are SO RIGHT darlin'! Did they say if there were facilities? As I know at Rainbow there is only a restroom inside. No showers.

Certainly not Love. That place is in really bad shape with major structural damage. Les cerises was open probably a year prior to Irma.

Cerises is definitely not LOVE. LOVE was further north, and is in very bad shape. Cerises has been there since at least 2017

Really, Scubaman? Now, I've never dined at Sal e Pepe's (ever), but two different local residents highly recommended it on our most recent visit. Maybe they have friends or family who work there. I was actually thinking about adding this place to our list the next time we go which may be this November. But, with so many other awesome restaurants to dine at maybe not.

To each there own. We gave it two try's and that was enough. Wasn't just the food prep but rudeness of the server too.

Thanks Elaine. I guess it is another new place or an old one resurrected.
