Bringing a newbie to the island in November. We are spending 4 nights at Arawak Inn on Anguilla (got a great price of 85.00 a night on skyauction.com, a great price on USAIR/American out of Boston, under 500.00. I have stayed on the dutch side twice but would like two nights on the French side...on the beach, near restaurants, shops. Looking for some low cost options, could be a one bedroom apartment...would LOVE suggestions

Harry--I think you own there? I don't have any problem with you recommending your place, in response to a question, but you should disclose you own there. It's not on the beach though..

What's your price point? You may have a problem with only wanting two days, and wanting to be ON the beach, unless you go for a conventional hotel, like Alamanda. There are several relatively inexpensive places in Grand Case on the beach, but not sure about the only two days. And lots of places in Mt. Vernon that are pretty inexpensive, but not sure many of them will only do two days.

Check out Blue Emarude in Grand Case. On the beach and close to restaurants.

Lhoste is $134 a night in November, Alamanda $200 a night. There's not a lot of nightlife at Orient, but two nights, it should be good enough. Grand Case would be a little more active. I'm not real familiar with it myself, but Love Hotel in Grand Case was something around $150 a night. I think there are some reviews here for Love Hotel.

We love Paradise Bungalows (O Paradis) - they offer one bedroom & two bedroom units - Bruno is a fantastic host. It is on the hill above Orient Beach.

Love would be a good choice. Right on the beach and has a super sunset bar.

Bleu Emeraude is a great place, but even in the off season, it is very pricy. $400 per night for the studio. I second Love Hotel.

Just to be far, Love Hotel is a unique place, very "Bohemiam". It is as more a bar with a handful of hotel rooms then a hotel with a bar. The hotel rooms and service are pretty basic, however the bar is a blast.2 nights in Grand Case is a great suggestion. On our trip last month we stayed the first 5 nights in Grand Case, rented a condo on the beach through VRBO.Will start doing it on all future trips. November is a slow time, might be able to get a great rate on beachfront condo through VRBO.Blue Emeraude is also a good option.

Certainly Grand Case Beach Club would be a possible. You might also want to drop John and Cyndi at Tijon.com a note. They have a small e building that they rent out. It's only about 100 feet to the ocean and right at the top of the Grand Case restaurant row.
Next SXM visit -November 2023. Also January 2024.

I would definitely second (or third?) the suggestion of Grand Case Beach Club. It's very convenient to all the restaurants, is on the beach, has a resort atmosphere (and all the accompanying amenities), features a very pleasant restaurant of its own, and depending on 'when' in November, you could probably find a room in the $$ neighborhood you're looking for. We stayed there last year (after our Towers time) in a studio with loft to conveniently enjoy the Grand Case atmosphere and loved everything about it. Things I might do differently - taxi to and from and not bother with a car while there and stay longer than we did.

The Bungalows are great, for sure, but the OP is only looking for two nights. I doubt that Bruno would do only 2 nights...

Thanks for posting the outcome. Plantation is nice, although a bit of a hike from the beach.

Just a heads up Denise....had a friend who booked though Sky Auction and it was a disaster, I have no knowledge personally but might I suggest you double check everything and also ensure that you were(or will not later) be charged more than you agreed to. Get everything in writing and call the Hotels and the Airline to confirm your bookings. https://www.consumeraffairs.com/travel/skyauction.html
