Not sure if they're talking about using a sticker on the old plates, or using a sticker to cover up the Carnival saying. Guessing it would be easier to just cover up the Carnival saying, for those that want to do that. But for the future, stickers sure make more sense..

Yes, kind of hard to tell. Possibly a sticker to cover the Carnival logo or a sticker to use on the old plate?

Either way, it costs a lot less to produce. Although since SXM is not used to stickers, I predict some folks would use 'self help' and make their own stickers.

Not on SXM! It mentions they did use stickers at some point in the past but I have no idea when it was.

They said they were going to do sticker a few years back and did not make new plates. Stickers never showed up and many, many folks didn't bother to pay their road tax that year. Utter failure.
