When it comes to Hurricanes one more thread to bring awareness to the public is not a bad thing?

Or you could post it in the previous thread and that will bring it back to the top of the discussion board.

Back down to a tropical storm this morning, tracking still holding south of SXM and closest point of approach around 180 miles, so looks like this one doesn't look bad at the moment.

Remember that your hot water heater is a tank of potable water!

And you can also store water in empty Heineken and Rhum bottles.

I am honored to see my favorite posters on my thread. Greetings to all of you. One poster missing is Barbara aka MsBee who follows hurricanes like I do. I know all eyes are on Florence now... What a monster. Prays to all in the path of the hurricanes.

Take care and stay safe. Hopefully the island will get some much needed rain.

Unless something major changes, we'll be fine. Although the folks still living under tarps will suffer no matter what.

It's 0630 and I am sitting on the deck. The air is humid and the breeze has picked and the waves are a little bigger. Other than partly to mostly cloudy skies, there's no major difference from yesterday. No rain as of yet. Keeping my eyes open in case of changes.

500 am NHC discussion has it pretty much falling apart soon, may only be a tropical wave when it passes.

Wind and sea are picking up a bit, but the sun is still shining. Saba is gone again, so the Sahara Dust is giving us protection!
