We are finally returning to the Island after a few years. We cannot wait. Arriving in March. I just have a few questions. How is the beach at Mullet Bay? Have they rebuilt the 2 food places there? What is the best place to rent a car from? Lastly, when we leave, we will be going through Philly and have a 2 hour lay-over. Is that enough time to get through customs? Thanks for any advise. Counting the days till we return.

Regarding the beach at Mullet, it's the same as always--some days it's dead flat calm and some days there are huge rollers. Some days you can walk straight off and some days there is a huge cliff. Regarding the food places on Mullet, as of now, Rosie serves when there are ships in, but I don't think she is open (still) when they are not. Daleos had not reopened when we were there in June. As far as car rental places, everyone has their favorites. Haven't personally been through Philly in years and years, so no idea on that. Enjoy your trip!

So with no Daleos and Rosie only on cruise days is anyone renting chairs?

Yes. Chairs are being available for rent every day.

Daleos won their lawsuit in at the end of June and in early July started the process of rebuilding.

Rosie's supposedly has cold sandwiches for sale when there are no ships in. When we were there in June, Rosie also did not have any French fries, just chicken and ribs and salad..

For rental cars, check out the TTOL Sponsors link and SXM sponsors. We do all have our favorites.

Have been through Philly several times. Two hours is adequate to get through the gauntlet. I prefer Philly to Charlotte, but that's me.

We have been through Phiily twice with an hour and a half layover. Both times we had to transfer between terminal A and F. The first time we had checked luggage and barely made our connection home and wouldn't have if not for a helpful Manager/gate agent. The second time we had carry on luggage only and had plenty of time. I actually liked Charlotte better as we didn't have to change terminals there. We also have Global Entry now which speeds thing up.

Correct. Same when we were there.
