Today we were off to Pinel Island. For anyone who has never been there it is really beautiful & worth the trip. You park at the French cul de sac & take a boat over, The cost is $7.00 round trip. There are three beach bar, restaurants that rent chairs. We sat at the one in the middle, Up On The Key, $15.00 for two chairs, an umbrella, & two rum punch.

The island & its views are beautiful, the water is calm & shallow. You can explore the island but since we just had flip flops on we didn't go too far. Just far enough to take some awesome pictures. For lunch we had brushetta & tasty chicken wraps.

Dinner was at The Stone Restaurant on the marina at the Simpson Bay Resort. They have indoor & outdoor dining under a canopy. We all had the special which was surf & turf, shrimp & filet, truffle mashed potatoes, & vegetables for $32.00. The food is brought to you on a HOT stone. The longer you keep your food on it the longer your food cooks. For appetizers we had Greek salad & scallops on a stone with salad. Everything was delicious! While we were dining we had another downpour but we just had to move our table a little to stay dry. There was a marvelous guitar player.

Day 5 was a lazy day at the resort. We divided out time between the beach & the pool. About 6:30 we headed to Maho and did a little shopping before dinner. It seemed to us that there were a lot more empty store fronts from last year. Dinner was at Pizza Pasta. The place was packed as usual. A reservation is a must. We shared appetizers of tortellini soup & tomatoes & chesse (the name escapes me). The soup is only served by the bowl & it is huge. Tonight we had four different entrees, spaghetti & meatballs, penne & meatsauce, Lasagna, & chicken parm made with eggplant & ham. The pizza looked so good that we got one to go for a snack later. We all enjoyed our meals & that is why we go back evert year. The meals were either $15.00 or $20.00.
