I saw that there is a new GM at Leverick Bay. Is Nick gone? Say it isn't so.

No, it is so. Heard it from NIck himself. He said that he was going to post something here, but guess he hasn't gotten around to it yet. Sorry to see him go.

Nick & Monica are "officially" retiring at the end of July and will be moving.

Hope he's still around when we're down there next week. After reading his posts and comments on-line for all these years I'd like to finally meet him.

there is no couple on this earth who deserve a long healthy quiet restful peaceful retirement more than Nick and Monica.

We spoke with and walked with them on their dock the day after Earl -- despite the devastation they were the most kind and humble people resolved to rebuild and make things better --

God speed to them -- and if ever they should come through the states we will always have a warm bed and board for them here in Dallas.

We talked to Nick for a bit a few weeks back while staying at Leverick and were able to say thank you one last time and goodbye. Monica’s family lives in Africa and they are moving there.

There is more, but he plans to share at some point on the forum. The comments from a few of the long-term employees illustrated how much Nick and Monica are loved and will be missed. They are amazing people!

I wish they'd be there a little longer as we'd love to have been able to say goodbye. I never thought it would be this long before we'd get back down there.

You guys out there have been the best, thank you for your support, love and kisses. We are leaving but we will be still there. Please never not keep in touch and in the words of our dear friends in the BVI's "WE GONE TO COME BACK"

Nick, I am very sad that we will be without you and Monica and that I won’t get to see you all again, at least not any time soon. You both were/are such beacons of warmth and hospitality. Leverick and the BVIs won’t be the same without you.

Best wishes for your new lives in Africa. Wherever you’re going will be fortunate to have you two!

😘👍

Nick, I feel your pain and excitement. We are closing our coffee shop of 12+ years. Our last day in business is July 19 and on July 20 we head to the BVI. When we get home after our vacation, no idea what my wife and I will do for a living but it's a new beginning. Hope you're not too busy with Christmas in July. Love to have a farewell beer with you! Cheers!

Nicest couple you'll ever meet! Their kindness and generosity is genuine, Leverick is losing a great team! Now the African coast....it's on the bucket list....hopefully our paths will cross again! So this is not goodbye...it's until we meet again! Good luck with your next adventure, fairwinds!

Nick and Monzi will be missed by so many. They have become family to us and I know to many here on TTOL.

We feel fortunate to have been able to visit and say "till next time" at the Poker Run.

Gods Speed loves! And we will see you across the ocean someday soon!!!!

We rented three houses at Mahoe over the past few years and spent a lot of time at Leverick to eat, drink and party. The customer service until Nick's leadership was top notch. We met Nick a few times

Enjoy your next adventure!

Phuque IRMA...Nick and Monica, I am so sorry we couldn't give you a HUG before you left, or when you got back. Stars clearly did not align as we came by one day too late, and left one day too early. ALL the best, have Tim give Monz a hug, and have Sally give you one for me. Didn't know you knew the Lundy's, worked together for 10 years. Best travels!!!!!!

We spent 3 nights in a slip at Leverick a couple of weeks ago and cannot say enough nice things about everyone there. From the dock hands who helped us back into the slip (without too much laughing at my "skills" behind the wheel) to the staff at both restaurants, the lady in the Pusser's store, and even the taxi drivers, everyone was just phenomenal. There was even a friendly cat that would great us when heading up to the showers.
