Just booked United from Newark, 12/2-15 for $319 each. We will have a bit of a drive from home and will have to overnight the night before we leave but what a great price. The cheapest I could get from our home airport(Albany,NY) was right round $700 each. This isn't as convenient as flying from home but we'll get both of us to SXM for less than the price of one from Albany.

We are also on the 12/2 United from EWR flight. We're coming home on the 16th and paid $357 - you got an even better deal. It's weird - I remember when we booked that the flights the next day (Mon. 3rd) were $800+.
I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.
