More than 240 student volunteers from the American University of the Caribbean participated in the school's recent Community Action Day. Among the activities: Students cleaned up Jordan Road and Mullet Beach and partnered with Tri Sports to clear debris from the Guana Bay and Genevevre Bay hiking trails. Throughout the day, students collected dozens of bags of trash. More details in this link: http://www.aucmed.edu/news-and-events/news/cad-february-2018.aspx

Our Daughter is a student at AUC, it's something they do every semester to give something back to the community they live and learn in.

Uksimonusa, We haven't returned to AUC since the hurricane. How is the current term going? Does your daughter share her impressions of post-hurricane AUC?

AUCspouse..
Seems that as far as AUC is concerned everything is pretty much back to normal, except that there are only 3 semesters of students there instead of the usual 5. We were on island for 10 days at the beginning of February and obviously there is still a lot of damage and a lot of the student housing is still not online, hence 4th and 5th semesters still being in Preston, but progress outside of the campus is being made. She's glad to be back on island and enjoying her studies.
